The pendant light Type-02 from the Ambiguo’s collection is a creation signed by the two designers Saarepera & Mae. Based in Tallinn, Estonia, the studio creates contemporary lighting with sleeked shapes and pure lines. The Ambiguo collection is the meeting among symmetry and asymmetry. The study of light, shapes and shadows reveals an ambiguous symmetry between each design: an opposition and complementary duality. The lamp Type-02 is the opposite of the Type-01: they are absolutely identical. However, all the components are reversed: and so asymmetrical when en we look at them together.
The studio was founded in 2012 in Tallin by the engineer Tauri Mae and the multidisciplinary artist Mari Saarepera. The creativity of the surprising duo was born thanks to the opposition of their own background and personality. Which create modern, sculptural and innovative lightings.
